Program Coordinator Rita Hatch of Career Wardrobe, Bristol, was all smiles when the TruMark Financial® Credit Union van pulled up and the representative began unloading more than 25 bags of gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. She was excited to learn the credit union’s “Help her get back on her feet” clothing drive was a huge success.
Credit union employees, as well as members, donated new and gently used professional clothing and accessories to support women re-entering the workplace. Career Wardrobe, a nonprofit social enterprise, uses clothing and professional development to empower unemployed individuals to transition back to work.
In addition to partnering with Career Wardrobe, the credit union donated 130 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls, a non-profit charity that distributes new and gently worn shoes to people in need living in the United States and around the world.
The community outreach initiative demonstrates TruMark Financial’s commitment to “People Helping People®.”
